Hi! After I have installed mountain lion on my 15 2010 MBP Ive developed black screen issue, mac would occasionally restart itself etc. I found an apple article claiming that some of these models have had installed failed logic board during that period of time and that apple will replace MLB for free even if ur out of apple care. I took my mac to apple store and after genius ran some tests it showed that I classify for free logic board replacement. After 4 days since apple took my macbook pro for replacement they called me saying that i dont classify for free replacement as it can be only done during two years from purchase (which was 13 Dec 2010) but i showed them apple article that states 3 YEARS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE, after that genius had a talk with manager and said they WILL FIX IT FOR FREE. When I got back home I recieved call from apple saying that when they opened my mac they found liquid damage on fan battery and logic board and they cant do it for free but for £660 :/ there is no posibility there was ever any liquid damage and I dont know what to do. Previously while tested by genius showed no liquid damage whats so ever and now this? Please help me!!!
