I am moving to Orlando next week and plan to purchase an ibook or PB then. My goal is to set myself up wireless as I live in an RV.

Has anyone here done business or made a purchase from this Apple Store? Or how about the CompUSA in Orlando? I have been to the CompUSA in Brandon and was not that impressed?

Any comments?

Millenia is great. The store is a bit small, but the staff is friendly and knowledgable.

Disclaimer: I am from Ocala. If you're not familiar with it, it's not exactly a tech friendly place. I may have stunted expectations.

None of the stores are great.

Stay away from the heavy, short dude at Millenia. He was the IT person for a local magazine and messed up every machine in the process. He tends to think he knows more than he does.

Tammi, who works for Apple at the south Orlando CompUSA knows quite a lot. Greg, who was the Macintosh person there, works for CompUSA does not know much. "Airport works at 11 em bee pee ess. Airport Extreme works at 54 em bee pee ess. It's twice as fast."

Paul works for Apple at the Altamonte Springs store and worked as a graphics designer previously and is knowledgeable. He's the only one in the store who is. The managers have tried to get rid of Apple any way they can.

Thanks for your replys. This is very helpful.

I know Ocala. You are right, not exactly tech friendly. I was in the Apple Sarasota store recently and left there with more questions than answers. They just act bored. Like if they can answer with "yes" or "no" that's all your going to get.

I have certainly learned more from this board than from going into either store.
