Apple store on thursday

So, for the past 4 years I have always gone to the ATT store when I purchased my iphone. I want to pickup a case on thursday at the apple store (never been on release day), but honestly is it even worth it? Will I be able to make it into the store?

Wouldnt later be better? Wouldnt the lines would probably be longest from people camping out in the morning?
