Is the only way to get a Macbook Pro with Nano-texture display option with Apple on their website? Non of the high street retailers offer them with this display option

They have them in-store at Apple Stores with the 1tb option. I picked one up myself, plenty of stock. but I only saw it for the 14". I did look for the 16" nano just out of curiosity, but couldn't find an in-store configuration, but there may be a few.

14" MBP M4 16GB 1TB with Nano texture. $1499 edu. In-store, Midwest USA

But perhaps they are sold out. It's that time of year.

There's this one also that's available for pickup.

Sorry forgot to clarify that I’m after a 16” with at least 48GB RAM and 512 or 1TB SSD

I played around on the website to try every combo of color and ram and storage and chip and couldn’t find a 16 that shows up as available for pickup.

As a general rule, the only models likely to be available in stores are the base configurations listed on the website. Once you start changing RAM and SSD capacities, you cross into build to order territory. There are exceptions to that, but they are few and far between.

Seems to be an exception here, though; there are a few 14" configurations that you can find in-stock in the Apple Store *with the nano-texture display* (which is not in any base configuration). They aren't stocking any 16" with nano-texture display, though.

I have not heard of any other stores (i.e. Best Buy) stocking models with the nano-texture display, but I haven't done an exhaustive check. Build-to-order, I guess... Order from the web site and wait. :-\

Nope. However, Best Buy strangely got some of the nano iPad Pros, but they were available to members only (which probably means they ordered a very small amount to test the waters and didn't want to sell out quickly).

Is there any kind of app that can check stock for these?
You can use the app, or the web. You still have to manually change configurations and see if the item is in stock. There is nothing that I am aware of that shows every configuration in stock at the store from which you can then pick. It is trial and error on the app and the web.

Wondering with the holidays if apple will stock some additional non-standard configurations in store with nano texture.

I got the 14" M4Pro/14/20/48GB/2TB with nano-texture in-store. I did have to get it in Space Black instead of my desired Silver because it was the one that was in stock but I wanted that badly to "downgrade" from a 16" to a 14". I love my 16" M1 Max when I'm using it at my desk (plugged into my LG ultrawide or on its own) and it really does absolutely crush everything I need it too and muc but I thought I would love the bigger display when I bought it and just ends up being annoying in any professional/"pro-hobby" situation I'm ever using it in, and it's even a little annoying when farting around on the couch. I have a work thing next week so I wanted to be sure I had time to get it, migrate, and have everything set up how I want it before then.

Anyway I love it.

me too. 14" M4Pro/14/20/48GB/2TB with nano-texture in-store. Italy. Fantastic screen and very fast machine.

Can I ask, was this in a US store?

I am surprised there are not some custom options for in store pickup with the holidays here.
