I recently bought my MBP with the free iPod for college students. Part of the rebate requires the receipt. When I filled out the rebate information online, I think I remember seeing something about the Apple store being able to print a duplicate receipt (I bought it from the apple store, not online). Has anyone ever done this? How do you go about it? Can you just copy it and that will be proof of purchase? I'm weary about sending in the original receipt for a mail-in rebate incase something goes wrong with the computer.

When I bought my last computer they gave me an extra receipt for the rebate. I don't know if they can do it after the fact but I would call and ask.

For future reference, I called today and they said it can be done. Just drop by with the original receipt and they can print another.
