I am thinking of buying a refurbished 2011 MacBook pro from apple. What condition are the refurbs in. Do y recommend the refurb products. Will the refurb come in a new MacBook box with pictures like the new news at the store?

I've just bought an October 2011 MacBook Pro from the refurb store and couldn't be happier. It doesn't come in the original packaging but it's in excellent condition (new) and comes with a full one year warranty.

All my Mac laptops (except retina) have been refurbs.

Look like new.
Function like new.
Warranty like new.

Cheaper than new :)

I just purchased an October '11 computer as well. Like the previous poster said it doesn't come in the original box but it looks brand new. No scuffs or scratches, comes with a warranty and the option to purchase AppleCare.

Bought a 2010 Macbook Pro 15 from the refurb site several weeks ago. 2.8 i7 processor with the matte 1680 x 1050 screen. Seemed to be the best bang for the buck, about $1300 plus tax. Out of the plain white box, it looks brand spanking new. No dents, dings, scratches. Nothing! As new. I'm really enjoying it.
