I just got a Lacie external hard drive for my birthday that was recently bought from the apple store. It's a 160GB triple interface.

I was just curious if anyone knew if the Apple Store would accept a return if it was unopened within the 14 day period without a 10% restock fee??

I would think so. Perhaps with a receipt it will be much more easier. They might give you a *Gift card* for the value.

Not so, 14 day unopened. There's ALWAYS a restocking fee unless the product is damaged. I worked there long enough to know. The return process is a pain in the ass there (for the workers)

Actually, there are only restocking fees on serialized products such as iPods, iSights, and computers. There is no restocking fee. Now when you used to work there, there used to be a 10% restocking fee on all open products, however, Apple changed their policy over a year ago, now it is only on serialized products.
