So i got these Harmon and Kardon sound sticks ll for a gift, but i already have a set, so i was wondering if apple will return them for me and give me only store credit? i do not have the receipt, and yes its from the apple store

These are sold in many places, not just the Apple Store, without a receipt they may or may not give you a store credit. I would also assume that since these were a gift that any info as to a sticker of the store where purchased are also gone. If it was a gift can't you get the receipt from the person who gave these to you as a gift??

Apple Stores do not accept returns without a receipt or a gift receipt. You'll have to plead and reason with a manager for a store credit.
 
ok, i need to buy my mbp, so if i tell them that i will have a good chance?
its not the first time ive returned something without a receipt to the apple store and they did let me exchange the item, but ive never did it with a gift..
