Apparently you weren't allowed to get the 3GS unless you were the primary account holder... my GF and I have a shared plan, and she's in Europe right now.
I didn't know this until they started shouting in line...
I figured I'd give it a shot anyway, and I got this really cool chick that was just like "so YOU'RE the primary right" after I told her that it was my GF...
Lol. So no problems. I'm restoring my backup to my new 32GB 3GS as we speak. Stoked.
