Apple Store service is starting to get a bit spotty, not all are A+. I dropped my laptop off to have the firmware password remove. Yes, I'm one of those people who forgot the password. I have Apple Care and my proof of purchase so it wasn't a big deal... The lack of service quality started with my appointment being booked at an iPod appointment, really? Followed by a 30min firmware service time turning into, it'll take 24 - 48hrs. The about 30mins time frame was told to me prior to setting up the appointment so naturally I thought at the worse 2-3hrs if they're backlogged. I wasn't too happy about that but what can I do, I was the one who forgot the password. So, after dropping off my laptop Apple sends out an Authorize service email. The email arrived about 10mins after I was already sitting in traffic...

Now, the part that really set me off and will be speaking with Apple about again tomorrow is the Cosmetic Condition... it stated: "Scratches on top and bottom case Scratches on clamshell". I was on the phone with Apple within seconds after reading that. My mac has zero scratches or marks, heck the rubber feet are spotless. The laptop has always been in a Speck case from day one and was removed for the service. Apple tried to get in touch with the Apple Store but wasn't able to and said I would have to dispute it with the store if there was any scratches. Long story short, got my laptop back zero scratches. But, my gripe is why put that there...? Its as if they are trying to cover there own a$$ for miss handling customer products, and instead of doing the right thing and telling the customer we put a scratches, they mark down scratches by default. That just not cool, didn't expect something shady like that from Apple. Sure, it might of been just that techs why of doing things but, he represents Apple.
