Apple Store stock checker website?

If I recall correctly last year, there was a website that had stock checker for each store by model. Any ideas if this will be available this year? Would really assist the 100s of people trying to call in today.

Last night in line, one of the employees said there'd be a website to check inventory in the Apple stores.

But, this was the same person who told us all that you could've ordered online at 5pm as well. Someone said, "I thought you could order at 1am or something like that?" She made a questioning face and said she really didn't think that was possible.

So, who knows. I haven't seen anything on Apple's site yet.
