Hi,

I've been checking our links and forums looking forms way to address this issue and generally speaking it seems to be a no but I thought what the hell I'll ask the online Apple store and they advised me to purchase this to connect the two devices http://store.apple.com/uk/product/TS588ZM/A/elgato-eyetv-hybrid#compatibility

To me it doesn't seem anything like what I would need but it does mention connecting camcorders so I wondered if anyone knows if this will actually do the job?

Thanks

I don't believe so, I seem to remember other members stating that you need a Mini DisplayPort for this product, something the 2012 model does not have.

Although I'm happy for somebody to prove me wrong ;)

Yeah I thought that was the case. Oh well the search for an affordable solution continues! Thanks though Steve, much appreciated.

I have the Hybrid and I can confirm that:

1. It is only standard def, and
2. It doesn't work with most Xbox games due to them requiring 60 Hz when the Hybrid only supports 50 Hz. I'd imagine that you'd have the same issue with a PS3.

Thanks Nermal. Looks like holding on to the spare tv and relegating myself to the bedroom whilst my Mrs watches TV is the best solution lol
