So I’ve been having a weird graphics problem when trying to watch low quality videos on YouTube on a 2017 MacBook Pro 15”. Took it to apple they are saying it’s a QuickTime issue that high sierra has that can’t be fixed without downgrading to Sierra however I have two of the same computer and the other one doesn’t have this low quality video issue. Apple store says the computer that is glitching when trying to run low quality videos probably has a “too good” graphics card and as a result it can’t process low quality videos and I just feel like that is a load of bologna? I asked if they could replace the graphics card and they said that would require replacing the logic board which is not an issue so the only solution they can offer is to downgrade it. I asked why with two of the same computer running the same OS why one doesn’t have this issue and they said it isn’t present in every computer but I guess I would think if it’s a specific software related, non hardware related problem as they say, then each computer with the same OS should have the same issue?
