Apple Store trade-in?

Someone on Reddit posted that an Apple Store employee told them to "stay tuned" for an official AW trade-in program. Has anyone heard any similar rumors?

I call BS on it. If they were to have one, they would have announced it at launch.

It would make sense though. I would take less $$$ from Apple for a no-questions-asked trade-in vs trying Craigslist, Ebay or Swappa and dealing with an unhappy buyer.

I'm surprised they haven't implemented anything yet. There has to be some value recycling older watches. I know they offer to take the old devices, but getting some credit would help.

Marketing. Main reason for *Apple* to offer such a program would be to enhance new unit sales by encouraging existing owners to upgrade. I imagine until they feel it would make enough difference they won't add such a program.
