Yes, jut did it today, when returning my full price 6 that had a defect. Was able to early edge up. Only thing they can't do is take your phone if you have to turn one in. You have to contact Verizon directly for that...

Boom! Thanks. I was going to order online for in store pick up on a 2 yr. Which is all you can do online. When I go pick it up, cancel that and do edge.

Has anyone tried this with AT&T Next? I didn't think to try the two year contract option and changing it at the store.

You cannot do Verizon Edge at an Apple Store. I just found out the hard way by standing in line at the Soho NYC store for 2 hours just to get turned down.

Wrong. Maybe not at your Apple Store? I have my iPhone 6 that I got from the Montgomery Mall Apple Store on Edge. The salesperson did state she had never done one before, and had to get help about 3 times, but we did do it. I even have a contract saying the Apple Store is the "creditor" of what is basically a lease agreement.

FWIW - I called the store and asked before waiting in line...

I was told no as well, and how would Apple have Verizon paperwork since you mention that you received what I presume is a paper contract. I smell troll.

People just don't have any perspective. Yes, I care so passionately about this plan that I would lie about it. Just trying to help out a forum member.

Congratulations, jenzjen, you just made me a bit older and dumber with the time I spent on this transaction of information.

[Edit, attachment removed, you have had long enough to see my contract, I am done with this thread]

How about if I bought online for a contract, then jusr buy the phone outright full price, would the store allow it?

You can buy the phone at full price online, but you need to have an account already. You can't buy online or reserve for in store pickup a device only phone for Verizon.

Just like any other Verizon authorized reseller would. Entirely possible.
