Who is better to order from in terms of the 4? I have an order with the Apple store with a ship date of Sep. 7, but it seems like I keep seeing that AT&T is getting phones out to people quicker.

When I got my iPhone 4 every AT&T store, and Apple store within a reasonable distance from me said that there was a waiting list of at least two weeks to get the phone.
I put my name on the list at my nearest Apple store, and less than twelve hours later I received the email telling me that my phone was at the store, and ready for me to take delivery!
They told me that first of all, because of the difference in price, the 16GB was in much higher demand, and since I bought the 32GB, there weren't as many people in line ahead of me.
They also told me that I just happened to get lucky.
Apparently, they don't know when their shipments are going to arrive. Timing just happened to be on my side for once.
I was very surprised that more people don't want the higher capacity. I would have paid the difference in price again to get 64GB, and even more for higher than that if it were available.
Surely, I can't be alone in that...

Thanks for the quick responses guys. I canceled my order with Apple for a 16 and re-ordered a 32 through AT&T.
This is nice. I ordered my 32GB iP4 from AT&T too, and received it within 6 days.
I havent been able to order via ATT, always gets time out error.
Strange that this would still be happening a month and a half past the launch date. You might have better luck if you order it in an AT&T store. If there is one in your area.
Same here. I ordered mine and had it shipped over nighted the next day. From placing my order on AT&T, I had the phone in my hands in two days.

Ordered from online Apple Store on August 2.
It is scheduled to be shipped on August 23 and delivered on August 26.
Been calling the local Apple store every day and they are consistently "out of stock" when I call.
I would have ordered from AT&T because I have heard it's faster but I had an Apple gift card and wanted to use that.
