Apple store, what are typical ship times?

If I'm lucky enough to get in a pre order tonight what do you guys except ship times are? Should I expect it at my door on the 16th, or expect it to ship on the 16th? Am I better off picking it up in store to make sure I get it (and will Apple stores open early on the 16th?)? My issue is that if it goes to my work, I don't work Saturdays and would hate to miss the package.

I know no one has answers, I'm just curious based on last year's event.

Typically, if you can get it ordered before it sells out, you should receive it on the 16th. Barring nothing goes wrong with your delivery person.
