Generally, no. Some stores are known to carry special configs if you ask, but you will probably have to order online.

I just ordered one online today and will get free $150 apple gift card with it. I'm not really a fan of gift card but might use it toward Applecare. The wait time is 1-2 weeks but it's expected to ship on Dec 11.

here in florida-miami, available at store is only due to dec 23 ..

I'm here in Los Angeles. I thought it was going to be 3-4 weeks but it's listed as 1-2 week. I think apple in china ready built this spec and it's ready scheduled to ship to the US. I hope the available date won't change. My last order with apple was right on the given date when the order was placed. The store text me on the exact date showing on the order.
