Anyways, I have a party comming up, and I "conveniently" heard that a Mr. X is going to get me a new iPod Nano :) Unfortunately, I already have two, perfectly-working iPod's (40GB + a relatively new Mini), and given that my parents aren't really "iPod-like" people, I don't know what I'm going to do with a third iPod. So I think I'm (unfortunately) going to have to return it to the Apple Store.

Here's my question. Mr.& Mrs. X have historically NEVER given me a receipt along with the goody bag. If I decide to return the Nano, is Apple going to let me do that WITHOUT a receipt? It'll be unopened and everything, but just sans receipt.

I just know that Apple has traditionally been a stickler on returns (or basically everything :p )

Supposing they'll accept w/o a receipt, any suggestions with what to do with the $249 Apple credit? I sort of have everything I need for my PB, but... ;)

Thanks for any insights!

I would think that Apple would let you get store credit w/out a receipt.

As for what to spend that $ on, why not save it until something comes up? Or, because I am so biased and love love love the nano, why not keep the nano and sell one of your other iPods? :p
