Apple Stores in Canada will begin reopening their doors to the public today, starting with six locations in the Vancouver area, one in Winnipeg, and one in Halifax. Enhanced health and safety measures will be in place, such as social distancing and reduced operating hours. Apple is also requiring that all employees and customers wear a face covering while inside the store and will provide one to customers who do not bring one.

The following locations will reopen today, most at 11 a.m. local time:
  • Apple Pacific Centre in Vancouver
  • Apple Oakridge Centre in Vancouver
  • Apple Coquitlam Centre in Coquitlam
  • Apple Richmond Centre in Richmond
  • Apple Metrotown in Burnaby
  • Apple Guildford Town Centre in Surrey
  • Apple Halifax Shopping Centre in Halifax
  • Apple Polo Park in Winnipeg
Apple's four stores in Alberta will follow on Thursday:
  • Apple Chinook Centre in Calgary
  • Apple Market Mall in Calgary
  • Apple West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton
  • Apple Southgate Centre in Edmonton
Apple Stores across Ontario and Quebec remain closed for the time being.

In a letter to customers this week, Apple said that it looks at all available data before deciding to reopen a store, including local cases, near and long‑term trends, and guidance from national and local health officials. Apple also said that it would not rule out the possibility of closing a store again should local conditions warrant.

Anxiously waiting for Apple Stores to reopen in Montreal o_O Just want to grab a LG UltraFine 4K for my work at home setup. It's crazy that the online delivery takes 8-10 weeks now  Looks like either they have a supply issue for these displays, or Apple is planning roll out their own branded ones at WWDC?

The Winnipeg (Polo Park) one is opening, it's in a mall, and doesn't have street access (separate entrance) so that is not correct.
Much like the lockdown rules in the U.S. are being determined by the state governments, the rules in Canada are also being made on a province-by-province basis. Ontario has only authorized retail stores with street access to open as of this week (May 19th), while malls must still remain closed until further notice. All of the Apple Stores in Ontario are located in malls.

Quebec has a couple of stores in Montreal with street access, but I don't think Quebec is allowing most retailers to open until next week regardless of their location.

YAY for the Winnipeg Store opening!!!! 😎

Do you think they can install the iPhone glass screen protector there for me if I buy in store, or are they not touching people’s devices?

I'm curious. How busy is the Winnipeg store? The ones in Toronto were sardine cans in the past. So much so that I started to hate going to them, as they were totally disorganized.

Basically any Apple Store inside a mall in Canada remains closed, unless it has a separate entrance to the street.

EDIT:

Apparently this is not true in all provinces.
I haven’t been to any Apple stores outside of Ontario but in my province of New Brunswick everyone has recovered and we are in our second phase of reopening. Malls are opening but if stores can’t enforce social distancing then we have to wear masks inside. So far there has only been a few stores that have reopened and I imagine it’ll stay like that until things start to change in Ontario and Quebec the two hardest hit areas.

Is anywhere actually requiring N95 mask? The most stringent I have seen is "face covering".
I'd say that 99% of non-professionals do not know how to wear N95 masks properly, and 75% of medical professionals do not know how to wear N95 masks properly either.

IOW, a properly trained medical professional might be able to use a N95 mask as designed, but most actually don't, and almost everyone who hasn't been properly trained to wear one will be doing it wrong, so N95 for the general public is almost pointless.

Not to mention they're designed to be disposable, making them even less practical for consumers.
