Given the breadth and variety of Apple products, I noticed that my local store, which is in a mall, is running out of display space. Already, they barely have one unit of each color on display, which means if two people want to check out the same color, there is a waiting line. The 6 new iMacs, e.g., took up a huge amount of space.

This got me thinking -- as Apple starts increasing the number of products and colors, they will be forced to start taking over adjacent stores so they can expand. I don't foresee that to be a problem given that a lot of other stores are in bad shape.

I think they'll be able to adapt. The iMac is new and not every product Apple has is displayed. Also, every location is different. The Apple store I usually go to is in a mall, but is pretty large.

That said, it's the second location in the mall since that store opened, the first being smaller. So, perhaps, if your store does expand it'll actually be in another space in the mall (like mine).

They can move the tables closer or put more products on each. They're damn efficient at squeezing a lot of IC's into a tiny phone, yet have a problem putting more than 8 items on each table. The duality of Apple.o_O

They need to pay Jony Ive's company to come into the stores and design thinner tables, stat!

...or they could just not show every color of iMac. Replace whatever 21" iMac displays they remove and if that means some colors aren't shown then it isn't the end of the world.

You're the Apple Store. You used to be in malls. You used to be big.

APPLE STORE
I am big. It's the tables that got small.

That sort of defeats the purpose of having a store where you can get to see all of the colors before making a decision.

But to be honest more and more sales are online rather than in physical stores these days.
Probably. But local Apple store has a never ending line all through the past year. Even pre-pandemic, most days it would take 30+ min before you could get help from an associate if you were interested in buying something.

Definitely big stores, more sales people and display all products. I know I would spend a lot more money in the stores if I seen something on display that I seen on their web page when buying something else.

Just stop producing more products... Solves all problems.

Big stores are ok, but it them becomes depeded on staff knowing 100% for help.. Too may products, more help required as you won't be able to find in a bigger store, vs a small one.
