A bit ago I bought a Powermac g4 with the crt monitor that released alongside of it. It works great and I had no issues initially. About a month ago I was messing around with the computer and took out the graphics card (the standard ATI one that came with the machine) to take some pictures. Then after I put it back in and hooked everything up, since that point whenever I turn on the computer the monitor makes this super loud buzzing noise right at the ADC connection. Interestingly enough my mother cannot hear it just to give you an idea of the frequency. Also to be clear it’s not the normal crt whine as I can still hear that separately. Plus this is way louder. One last note is I know it’s a problem with the monitor specifically because the studio LCD display doesn’t have the same problem when I hook it up. Does anyone have a potential solution?

A recording of it would help pinpoint the nature of where the problem could live. I would inspect the receptacles of the connector on the graphic cards side and the pins of the connector on the monitor side.

I’ll work on getting that recording when I get the chance. As for the connectors is there anything I should be looking for. I compared it to the LCD panel and there were no bent pins that I could see but is there anything else I should look for?
