Ever since Apple announced the Studio Display I feel like there is a missed opportunity to greatly enhance the iPad experience with this. I would love to see multitouch and Apple Pencil support added to the studio display, so that it can be used when an iPad is connected. This would give a much larger surface to work on for artists and really could be so superior to Cintiq and other options available today. Apple doesn’t want to bring touch to the Mac and really this would allow that separation. Plug in a Mac no touch, but plug in an iPad and yup you get touch. Also, why not add Bluetooth to the display since it has so much else already and pair wireless keyboard and mouse to the display for true KVM type setup that could be used with any device you plug into the display. Heck… maybe even support plugging in an iPhone. Maybe this is on their roadmap, maybe not… but I sure hope this is where they go with this. Thoughts?
