Doesn't show in Software Updates for a Nov 2005 (5,8) 15" 1.67 PB G4 Hi-res w/superdrive. I'm gonna pass on a manual install.

I have iMac G5 17-inch 1.8GHz and
Mac mini G4
But it sais that eaither need it.
What is wrong?
I am about to forget about this update as I am not taking two macs in over this.

I run a Rev. C 15" PB 1.67Ghz.

Some are still having issues after the firmware update as mentioned in the other thread on this subject.

I don't think this update applies to the *Double-layer* Superdrives in the last rev Hi-res PowerBooks.

The models with MATSHITA DVD drive UJ-825 will display this message upon opening the firmware install icon.

The update is for Matshita DVD-R UJ-835 drives only. This is stated in the ReadMe file that comes with the update.

Hizzle dizzle. Maybe now my drive will recognize all my discs. And burn DVD+R. And burn at speeds greater than 1x-2x. And... well, yeah.
