Apple testing new Sony HDR Prototype?

So I've been hearing about this new Sony HD camera that can shoot HD photos and 1080i HD video as well. A friend sent this photo online, could this be the new Sony HDR FX camera?

Attached are some photos I found from a friends blog:

My other close friend claims to have met the guy testing at CES for Sony, says he is Sony's North American R&D director.

Anyone else have more info?

And how is apple involved here?

I don't know what is it, but I don't think it's a camera from sony. Why would they test it out on the open field when it's in such an early stage (because the body definetely isn't ready yet). And why exists the camera of an external audio recorder and microphone. Wouldn't they have integrated that, or wouldn't that be still open (without case). Or why is he having his remote taped on the side.

He's probably talking about the camera in the left guys hand which is the same as the top!
