Hi Guys,

Will the 27" Apple Thunderbolt Display work with a Mac Pro? I do have Mini DisplayPort on my 7950 3GB. If not is there an active adapter I can use to get it working?

To expand on the answer above, you can only use the Thunderbolt display with the 2013 Mac Pro. There is no way to adapt the connection to anything; the display can only work via Thunderbolt.

Hey, guys.

Sorry for necroposting here after nearly two years after the last message.

I've been interested in the same question for quiet some time... For example, if I use the ASUS ThunderboltEX II or III (or similar, that provide PCI-E to Thunderbolt Technology) into my first generation Mac Pro, will it give an image for the Thunderbolt Display, or a Late 2013 iMac, that may be used in a Target Display Mode?

Has anybody tried this or similar workarounds?
