well the iPhone went from a single volume rocker to two separate buttons, then the iPod touch got a camera and two separate volume buttons. now what I think is that apple is gonna release a software update like iOS 4.2 that will allow us to use those buttons to take a picture what u guys think?

Same. However, that option was removed by apple a few days after it was noticed.

I was too late to buy camera+ :( but yea if apple removed it that means apple probably is gonna put it on sometime in the future

Actually it probably means that there not going to add that feature if anything.

I was lucky enough to get Camera+ and it is very nice to use the volume button as the shutter switch. It's ridiculous to have to press the screen to take a pic. It ruin many photo ops for me.

I truly believe we will see a separate button to take pictures with.

Apple doesn't want a button to be used to do 2 things so I see them not messing with the volume buttons and so they are going to make a separate button.

Apple seems to really want a great camera on the iPhone so I can see them heading much further with allowing a physical button to take photos with if they want people to replace their pocket cameras.

Also Optical zoom might be seen in 3-5 years.

based on what your wishes and unfound rumors ?

oh hey how about reading the facts

by visiting the URL camplus://enablevolumesnap in Mobile Safari, one could make the volume buttons on the side of the iPhone instead act as a camera shutter button — something which Apple had already said was a no-no.

apple likes keeping things simple ( ipod nano with ZERO buttons)

the onscreen camera buttons works well enough

want more proof.. first iphone -> iphone 4 have the exact same buttons + layout

iPod nano has 3 buttons. Sleep/wake, volume up, volume down. Don't know where you got the idea that the nano has no buttons.

sorry I meant ipod shuffle

the point is that apple tries to push the minimalistic thing to the limit (and sometimes backtrack)

the iphone has a camera button already ( onscreen) i doubt we will ever see a camera shutter button on the iPhone

It seems that Apple has learned from their mistakes... and returned to the second-generation shuffle's design :p
