I'm using the current gen apple tv, and remember reading somewhere ( in addition to being told in store) that Internet is required for playback of iTunes store content only the first time. After that, it should all be peachy.

Now, I do not have Internet at home, but have had iTunes content authorized via wired Internet sharing from a 3G USB modem. Via live tether, it works fine... Take that away and migrate back to my usual wifi media server and no dice. It still wants authorization.

Does anybody have info regarding using the apple tv 2 without Internet while allowing iTunes content to be streamed? Do I need to have Internet without switching methods of access (wifi vs wired, or different wifi networks) to allow Internet-less iTunes content streaming?
