When playing a title. The bottom of the screen displays a progress bar, one color blue, the other color white.
The blue volition would be the playhead, how much you can play up to or rewind from.
However, the white bar seems to go faster. I'm thinking this white bar represents the buffering. So with tat in mind, heres my question.
If the white bar does indicate buffering, (presumably, this is filling up the buffer in ATV in advance), why does it need constant network connection? Doesn't ATV just read directly from the buffer? It's 8 gig in size, (Don't you love how Apple doesn't include this in tech specs), so I would think when the white bar gets to the end of the progress bar, the buffer is full.
So, in this case, why would a Internet connection still be required if it could read from the buffer, either part or full.
