Apple TV 3rd Gen Airplay No Longer Working

Hi,

I have been streaming my Macbook Pro Mid 2010 to my Apple TV using Airplay fine until today.

Now Airplay is not available on the menu bar and the Apple TV Remote is acting wierd. When I press a button on the remote instead of the light on the ATV flashing once it flashes 3 times and does not react?

When trying to start Airplay sometimes a pin number appears on the TV screen but when I enter this into my Macbook Pro it does not accept it?

Any help would be great
