Apple TV 4 wouldn't boot. Total reset did the trick.

Today my Apple TV wouldn't boot. After pulling out and plugging in the powercable, it did. But after the rebooting the screen was distorted and was giving black screens on and off. The powercable and HDMI were properly connected.

After a full factory settings reset, the problems were gone.

What do you think, was this a hardware problem?
