Hi there,

I am intending to fully switch to Apple TV and to stop buying physical media. One thing makes me stop. I don't see any way to get (intelligent) movie playlists to the Apple TV. I do not even see a way to implement a list of my favorite movies. Is there any way to have movie playlists on the AppleTV?

Thank you very much in advance.

Kind regards,
Chris

Playlists work only via iTunes as local server and Computers app.
In Movies app you can create and maintain something called “wishlist”.
I don’t have the TV app, so am unable to comment on it.

Hey there!
I have a few absolutely favourite films and I always keep them cued up in the watch next on the TV App :)

Not sure if you can do it any other way as all of the iTunes purchases are coming from the iCloud. What is lovely is that they remain in the TV app when you maybe watch only part of the film and then you can return to it also on your Mac, your iPhone or iPad or second ATV if you have one in say a chill out room (i won't say bedroom as TVs in bedrooms are so crass and so 1990s!).

Hope that helps buddy. Don't forget that there are 'genre' sections so that may help but yes, it would be great if you could 'favourite' them like you can with music or photo.
