Apple TV 4K gains 4K versions of old aerial screensaver videos

The Apple TV 4K has always had a meager selection of aerial screensaver videos. While the 4th gen Apple TV had around 55 screen savers, the 4K version seemed to have had a random picking of 12 or so. It always felt like you were seeing the same few videos all the time.

With the new tvOS 12 update I am starting to see new 4K versions of old aerial videos. I have read that people have received one of the old Hong Kong videos and I received the old China: Wulingyuan National Park video.

Curious what over videos got updated, I just noticed that the list of screensaver videos curated by Benjamin Mayo was updated over the past couple of days.

There are a lot of new 4K versions of old videos (again, random) and one or two new non-space ones. He doesn’t specify if they are 4K or not as his page previously did, but I am assuming they all are since so many videos are now gone from the list, including all London, NY, Hawaii, and San Francisco videos.

I think I counted 33 videos now, which would be a huge improvement.

It’s what I am seeing too. Hong Kong and the China park ones so far. I’m just updating my older ATV4 to see if any have gone the other way

I wonder if Apple has eliminated Hawaii, San Francisco, NY, and London completely from the aerial screensavers on both the gen 4 and (obviously) 4K Apple TVs

I'm hoping they may start adding fresh content.

The more screen savers the better. I love having them run in the background when guests are over and we are chatting over wine or beers.

My favorite ones are of an airport and Hong Kong. When I am fed up with repetition I run one of my Vimek playlists populated with aerial 4k videos of beautiful places to visit.

Wonder why they eliminated the San Fran and London ones.
Are the New York ones also gone?
I have the 4K also and hoped they would appear on the latest update. There are monte than before. I am seeing ones I didn’t have. But it’s still a shame.
Is that list the final list? Or is it still being updated do you know?

I've not seen any London or NY ones, but, they were never in 4K them sequences anyway.

However, there are now four space ones as we now have a new one which has just popped up, which is of the British Isles heading across northern Europe and towards Moscow, at night.

Yea I saw that one. Wonder if they will start adding a few everyone few software updates.

Gutted they didn’t transfer the NY and London ones to 4K though.

I hope they drop the HK and Dubai ones. So sick of seeing them.
