I’ve been having some annoying audio issues with my new Apple TV 4K, particularly in the Music app. First, this only occurs when I have music from Apple’s Apple TV Music app playing though both the TV speakers and my HomePod stereo pair.

If I have music playing and I’m on the Now Playing screen and I rewind the song by a few lyrics, hold the back button to go to the home interface, or just go back to my albums, the audio on the TV speakers will often (but not always) cut out for 3-4 seconds and then come back but usually out of sync with the HomePods, which continue to play just fine the entire time.

I‘m using a 48 gbps HDMI cable from Belkin, Wifi speeds of 350-400 mbps, and the Apple TV shows 5 bars of Wifi signal. I also plugged in my Apple TV 4K gen 1, which moved to another room, into the same TV and didn’t have this problem.

Is this a bug? Is anyone else experiencing this?

This is the second Apple TV 4K gen 2 I’ve had that had this problem. I returned the first one because I thought it was defective.
