Everyone has been down on the new Apple TV for one reason or another. Some warranted, some not.

Either way lets use this Thread to focus on the positives. I'll start.

1. The setup was extremely easy.

2. The speed in which this thing get's in and out of Apps has exceeded my expectations.

3. Since having the LG B6, and Denon x4300h I could never get CEC/ARC to consistently work. Since adding the Apple TV into the mix, it works seamlessly.

4. I spent all day saturday muliticasting games via the WatchESPN app with no hiccups at all.

These are just to name a few. Dig deep and give this thing a bit of credit, as I'm sure Apple will fix the switching issue, which to me is the only major one.

Doing this:

In addition to using the correct HDMI input, you may need to enable HDR10 or Dolby Vision in the video or HDMI settings on your television. In some cases, the setting may not refer directly to HDR10 or Dolby Vision, examples include Ultra, Deep, or Enhanced video or color.

AND ALSO, turning on chroma 4:2:2 eliminated the need for switching between display formats SDR and HDR.

I honestly don't think there needs to be a switching issue to fix via software update. I think people were just expecting to plug in and it automatically be at the best possible picture without messing around with video settings in their TVs.
