Apple TV 4K power on and heat issues

My Apple TV 4K has been acting a bit strange lately.

Sometimes when i go to turn it on via the remote in the evening it does not come on at all, no output, no light on the front etc, and if i touch the casing it's very hot !

So i unplug it for a while, plug it back in again and it will power up fine but always with one or two apps paused in the background, even though we never leave any apps paused in the background.

Several days will go by and it will be fine, but then the cycle repeats itself again ?

I'm not sure what could be causing this really.

Anyone come across anything like this at all.

Since the last software update this - minus the heat issue - has happened to me a couple of times. I unplug it and plug it back in and everything’s fine. I have no idea why.

Maybe i will reset it to factory defaults and see if it improves.

Any news on this? Happened to me two times in about two weeks. Random. Never seen this before with 4th gen.
