Apple TV 4k stops shows

While watching Apple TV+, Netflix, Viu, Youtube, etc., our apple tv 4k randomly stops and goes back to the main menu. This happens when we are on our iPads either surfing facebook and scrolling though (but not playing) a post with a video, or my wife plays games like gummy drops which has ads. I tried turning off handoff, "automatically airplay to TVs" on our iPads, and anynet on our samsung TV. But it still keeps happening.

Not a solution, alas, but point of clarification. Do I understand you correctly as saying your ATV 4K stops playing streaming videos when you are simultaneously using an iPad on the same WiFi network but not Air Playing from that iPad to the ATV 4K?

If so, do you have an issue with your WiFi getting overloaded and causing the ATV to time out? Do you have a way to try running an Ethernet cable from your router to the ATV to see if that helps? Just a thought.
