Apple TV 4th Gen / Polk Soundbar issue on each start up

hello everyone, first post on this forum
I am having an issue and was wondering if anyone had any idea what I might be doing wrong
I recently got a
65 LG SK8000
Polk magnifi mini

The sound bar is connected trough arc, if I start the tv with the LG remote and go straight to a regular TV app, the sound Bar will turn on and output audio perfectly

If I start the tv with the Apple TV remote and jump straight into the Apple TV interface both the TV and soundbar will power on, but the sound bar will not output any audio

Only work around is to unplug the HDMI from the sound bar and replug it back in and then it will output audio

What I have been doing is turning on my tv with my regular remote and then switching to the Apple TV

Any idea on what could be wrong?

Different equipment but same results here. In my case, I find that pressing volume buttons as the ATV display shows up on the screen will send an audio signal and the TV will keep the audio output setting for the AV equipment. If I wait, volume on Siri remote adjusts TV sound and have to go into TV settings to change audio outputs.
