Does anybody know if I can use my AppleTV 3 power cord for ApplTV 4? I would rather not move all my equipment and cabinet and run a new cord and HDMI cable if I can just swap out the new unit and plug and play.

Anybody tried to pair via Bluetooth the Apple TV 4 to the old Magic Keyboard? It was able to work on the ATV3.

Agreed, keyboard used to work on ATV3.. it doesn't appear on bluetooth discovery in ATV4. Also, iOS Remote App doesn't detect ATV4, its annoying to use Siri Remote to login to services and setup ATV4!

From what is seen so far, neither remote app nor BT keyboards are supported. And that's ridiculous, I agree.

I remember that there was an article about the remote app some while ago saying that it was a single developer's project. So he may just not have gotten around to it. I sure hope they bring that back!

Perhaps originally it was, but now it's Apple's and even an 'Essentials' (lol) app. And it clearly states in the app description and in a support page that it doesn't work with ATV4. No info on ATV4 updates.

As I've said elsewhere, I bet the design was that you sign up for apps/services using the new paradigm where you get a code from the app and go to a website on your PC/Mac and thus don't need a keyboard/interface on the phone to copy/paste in passwords. Unfortunately, all popular apps don't do this yet.

Yes, its a very handy app to use.

Amazing, the CEC works perfectly. The Siri remote puts both my Sony Amp and the Apple TV to sleep and wakes them up when you touch any botton.

Furthermore, the volume controls actually work with Bluetooth. I guess either the Apple TV sends a similar IR message or it works under HDMI through CEC. I had just to press the volume + and - buttons on the Sony remote during setup.

Yes you sure can. I had the same issue when replacing my older gen 3 Apple TV.

New gen 4 Apple TV working great.

It seems that the ATV4 remote does not control our Dell Ultrawide Monitor's power or volume? We originally purchased the monitor with the hope that it would work both for an Apple TV screen as well as a computer monitor in our small apartment. Are there settings either on ATV4 or the Dell that I have not found that allow one to control input? I am not sure if the Dell is HDMI-CEC?

Any thoughts?

Is the HDMI cable at least v1.2 compatible?

Anyway, I think it works with TV sets and amps, not sure that a monitor supports HDMI CEC.

I'm now using Apple TV 4, region is U.S, language is Vietnamese. I couldn't activate Siri. Does anyone know how to activate Siri ? Please let me know ! I really want that Siri.

There is no Vietnamese Siri, for now. Log in any US, UK (and a few others..) account and you can use it.

When I downloaded from that link, my antivirus reported the zippy.dmg file was infected... *Don't think I'll be using THAT!*

I think you need to replace your antivirus. The link navigates you to the iTunes store page for the Apple TV guide. There's no zippy.dmg. Maybe you're already infected...

FWIW, I think antivirus tools on the mac are worthless, but I digress.

Actually, I wasn't talking about the iTunes ebook link. I was looking for a pdf (so I didn't have to open it with iBooks, but could use Preview or other app), and that post was the one that had the link with the zippy.dmg link. Just now, I couldn't find the specific post it was in, though, but it was there at that time. I know my own experience, thanks.
