I was thinking that it'd be pretty cool if the Homepod could interface with ATV5, so that you could control the settop box without a remote using a "Hey Siri" command.
For example [to the Homepod] "Hey Siri, turn Apple TV on/fast forward 1 minute/find comedies/show me the weather". That last coomand would make the ATV work like a screen extension for the device.
Having the devices interface like this would fit with one of Apples strengths of having devices work with each other seamlessly and tie in with Phil Schiller's comments about smart speakers working best with a screen interface.
