I'm not home to check, but has anyone noticed any changes, performance bumps???

Thanks for the heads up about this, my AppleTV is usually late in notifying me about these updates. Though, I wonder how it can update/add the Apps without any input or notification from me. I always thought these things would be added/updated during updates like these.

I'm not familiar with the Netflix "issue" but I do have an issue with it myself. I find that when I'm watching TV shows back-to-back, there will be some audio sync issues but going in and out of the episode usually fixes it. Also, I turn on my captions and there's also sync issues at times, but it's also fixed the same way. It's annoying, but at least it can be "easily" fixed. Hopefully this update address that.

Just 5.1 surround sound issues, right?

Yes, that seems to be the main issue but I myself have also had an issue where the app quits and returns me back to the home screen right in the middle of a movie or show. So I go back into the Netflix app, start the movie and resume play, only to have it do the same thing again. Sometimes it does it within 5 or 10 minutes, other times it takes a little longer. It's completely random and frustrating to say the least.

Darn. And this Netflix app quitting all of a sudden only started happening in version 6.1?

I recently bought an Apple TV box for my parents and hooked them up to Netflix, but thankfully I never updated the software so it's still the original version out of the box.

I currently subscribe to Hulu and haven't noticed any issues on 6.1 (but I have had some serious judder problems with a show bought via iTunes).

Yes. At least for me, the Netflix issues did not appear until 6.1. It's good that you have not updated your parents ATV yet. Sadly the 6.2 update did not fix the problem that I am having.
