Apple TV/AirPods automatic detecting

I have tvOS 11 beta. If I have my AirPods connected to another device, I can see the AirPods on the audio speakers list when swiping down on the AppleTV. However when I select the AirPods, nothing happens.

Anyone know what is going on? Thanks!
