Have inherited an elderly LCD TV I want to use for the kids' playroom, which has no HDMI ports. Quick technical question about whether this is practical - will iTunes store content play OK over an HDMI to SCART converter? I gather there may be an issue to do with copy protection needing HDMI.

If it won't, does anyone know of a workaround?

Thanks,

Andy

If your HDMI-to-SCART converter is legit, then it should take care about the copy protection issue. It's only there to prevent copying from the cable. If the HDMI Sink can handshake with HDMI Source, then it should be enough.
That converter shall act as a HDMI screen or projector towards aTV. And it needs to do Video D/A conversion internally, because SCART carries analog signals only.
