Is it possible to delete the Apple TV app from my Apple TV ?
It is a really useless app that keeps popping up whenever we do anything. I have tried using it several times but it can’t find anything and always suggests purchasing the movie or show that I want to watch even if its on Netflix or 7+ or 9 now
The kids are always getting stuck on it while it’s asking them to pay for them to watch octanauts or paw patrol. Which is available either free or in other subscription apps installed on my Apple TV.

The app only "pops up" if you open it or if you search something with the build in search app.
And no, you can't delete it.

You can't delete it, but you can hide it in a folder. You are free to move all the apps around on the Home Screen.

As said you can’t delete it but you can make things a little easier if you don’t want it to be used.
As also said move it elsewhere so not so easily accessible.
Also I f you go into Remotes and Devices settings you can change what the TV button does so rather than it always going back to the ATV app it will go back to the Home Screen when you press it.
