Apple TV as Matter hub question

Hi,

I was just wondering what happens to Matter devices if my Apple TV is a Matter hub and I upgrade the Apple TV, will they have to be repaired?

hardware updates? no, since the matter devices are paired to your apple home, and the connection information is shared amongst all of the apple hardware logged into your appleID

I was referring to upgrading the Matter Hub hardware (in this case an Apple TV), not software updates.
