Apple TV automatically transfers purchases to MacBook. How can I stop it?

I purchased a tv season and the apple tv transferred the whole season off of it and onto my MacBook. I would like to keep a copy on my apple tv and also have it transfer to iTunes... How can I do this?

iTunes controls the content on your AppleTV. To have it copy your purchases to the AppleTV, you need to select the AppleTV in iTunes and configure the synchronization options (manual vs automatic, and sync everything or just selected, etc...).

If you configure iTunes to sync all your TV shows with the AppleTV, it will the copy any TV show not already on the AppleTV over to it. Also, anything your purchase on the TV will then stay on it, and a copy will just be transferred to your iTunes computer.
