Sorry, couldn't find a discussion about this.
I recently updated my Apple TV from 2.1 to 2.3 and have found that now a number of my movies are showing up with the little HD logo next to them in the list, but they're not (as far as I'm aware) HD files.
I get the HD logo next to TV shows which I've downloaded from iTunes which actually are HD, but with my movies, they've all come from my DVDs.
It only appears next to some movies, but the selection is quite mixed. I assumed that 720 was the minimum resolution for something to be classified as HD, but some of these films are 480 pixels in height.
Could someone clear up why this is happening, or tell me what the ATV's criteria is for a HD video file?
Thanks.
