Apple TV disconnects when iPhone goes on standby

I have the latest software on my Apple TV and just purchased an iPhone 6 and updated to the latest software.When I airplay something like YouTube videos or a video my phone to Apple TV, it'll play for a while and then stop mid-video. It seems like it might be around the time the phone goes on standby but I'm not sure yet. Is this a known issue? Thanks!

My iPad (with iOS 8.1 on it) has been doing this to me as well. So annoying!

I feel your pain!

I think I have a second generation Apple TV though... (I think it's from before Apple switched to their own processors).

My Apple TV is only about a year old so I don't think that is an issue..
