Apple TV + External HDD + Share

I have an Apple TV with ATV Flash installed. I also have a 1 TB HDD hooked up to it working just fine. I was wondering if it is possible to share the 1 TB HDD over the network since the apple TV is wireless? This way I can still sync iTunes off of the media on the 1 TB HDD rather than have to unhook it from the Apple TV and hook it up to my Macbook.
