There has been some disccusion of SATA adapters in multiple threads and the goal is to develop a list of working adapters and sources.
There are numerous adapters out there, however, I would like to limit this to adapters that will fit in the ATV enclosure.
Here we go:
1) Unverified: SATA to PATA Adapater, Amazon.com Please PM me if you have tried this item.
2) richyscot1's posting identifies an adapter in posting #7 and details his results in the thread with photos. Kudos to richyscot1. This thread provides good info, but rambles a little.
3) 500 GB Upgrade article translated from German. The link to the SATA adapter is fubar, but google search yielded this The link to the SATA adapter is fubar, but Google led to these specs This is an excellent 'how to' article complete with pictures.
